June is Pride Month! A time of joy, reflection, and celebration of LGBTQ+ identity and liberation. It’s also a time to recognize the organizations and advocates who have fought to make our communities safer and more welcoming for all. For over four decades, Communities United Against Violence (CUAV) has been instrumental in creating a San Francisco where LGBTQ+ communities can access healing, safety, and support rooted in justice.
We are honored to welcome Pablo Espinoza, Co-Executive Director of CUAV, as our June Crucial Conversation speaker. With over 15 years of experience in community organizing, Pablo’s leadership reflects CUAV’s deep commitment to safety without policing, collective healing, and grassroots power.
During this conversation, we’ll learn about CUAV’s legacy and current work, including their wellness and healing services, housing and safety resources for LGBTQ+ survivors, and leadership development programs that foster community resilience.
