When you are in crisis, the last thing you need is to feel judged or misunderstood by the very people you are relying on to help you.
That’s why Black Women Revolt works so hard to provide culturally sensitive support services and remove barriers for Black women who have experienced domestic abuse to receive the protection and assistance they and their children need.
Huge cuts in the city’s new budget has drastically reduced our funding. Unfortunately, domestic violence doesn't take a break. Our community still needs Black Women Revolt, and now Black Women Revolt needs our community.
We aim to raise $25,000 to sustain critical support services we offer to Black women and their families in our community. Your donation ensures we can continue to:
Maintain Our Resource Center: A vital space providing essential information, support, and a sense of community for survivors and their families.
Operate Our Help Line: Offering immediate, compassionate assistance and guidance to those in crisis.
Train Survivor Advocates: Empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge to support survivors effectively, creating a network of hope and resilience.
Provide Prevention Education: Conducting impactful workshops and training programs for both adults and youth (ages 16-24) to break the cycle of violence and promote healthy, respectful relationships.
