Rachel Peterian (she/hers) is the Community Engagement Fellow at Black Women Revolt Against Domestic Violence (BWRADV), where she contributes to organizational operations, outreach and partnership development, impact reporting, and communications. Her journey with BWRADV began as a Youth Advisory Council intern while completing her undergraduate degree, reflecting an early commitment to translating her academic interests into meaningful community impact.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from the University of Redlands. Her academic background informs her interest in public policy, institutional accountability, and the ways government and community-based organizations can work together to address systemic inequities.

She is particularly interested in the intersection of domestic violence prevention, economic security, housing access, and equitable public policy. Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful advocacy requires not only responding to immediate needs but also addressing the structural barriers that shape people's safety, stability, and access to opportunity.

Rachel aspires to pursue a legal career focused on public service, with an emphasis on advancing equity, strengthening community-centered systems, and ensuring that the voices of those most affected by policy decisions remain central to the decisions that shape their lives.
