Juanita Wortham

Juanita Wortham (she/her) is a Louisville, Kentucky native. She began her journey working with the public as a Community Health Worker after gaining her state certification in San Francisco. Her dedication to serving others led her to employment with the Homeless Prenatal Program, where she started as a Wellness Counselor. During her tenure, Juanita further enhanced her expertise by becoming a certified Health Educator and Lactation Consultant.

With a robust foundation in health education, Juanita has developed extensive experience in intensive case management within Supportive Housing systems. Her commitment to community outreach is evident in her active involvement with various support groups. She has created groups like Sistas Circle and a range of programs including parent-child playgroups, postpartum support groups, empowering mothers' group, and a fostering community bonds group.

Juanita's passion for advocacy and transformation led her to infuse a holistic focus on wellness and community resilience into the groups she led. Her engagement with initiatives such as Attachment Vitamins with HPP and Tea Talk with Black Woman Revolt Against Domestic Violence highlights her commitment to addressing the unique challenges that Black women face.

Through her work, Juanita continues to play a pivotal role in integrating health, wellness, and social support within community structures, striving to create environments where individuals and families can thrive together.
