As part of Black Family Day, Black Women Revolt Against Domestic Violence invites you to a powerful and timely panel discussion on fostering healthy relationships among teens and young adults.
February is nationally recognized as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Did you know that one in three teenagers in the United States will experience verbal, emotional, sexual, or physical abuse at the hands of a romantic partner? Even more alarming, 58% of college students report not knowing how to help someone who is a victim of dating abuse. We can change that.
Through the organization of our 2nd Annual Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month Event, Black Women Revolt Against Domestic Violence aims to promote meaningful conversations about what love isβand what it is not. This panel will empower youth with the tools they need to build and sustain healthier relationships.
Respect That: A Healthy Relationships Conversation will feature advocates and youth leaders from 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic, Freedom Forward, and LYRIC who are dedicated to addressing teen dating violence, promoting respect, and inspiring change. This conversation will provide actionable tools, real-world insights, and a safe space to discuss how we can break cycles of unhealthy behaviors while uplifting young voices in our communities.
π Date and Time: February 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM β 12:00 PM
π Location: 1600 Holloway Street, San Francisco, CA | Student Center, Jack Adams Hall
